U.S. Issued Patents
91³Ô¹ÏÍø is 16th among American public research universities and 38th among all universities worldwide in generating new patents in Calendar Year 2024. In Fiscal Year 2025, 86 new U.S. ​Patents were issued to USF.
Disclosures
91³Ô¹ÏÍø had 234 new disclosures in FY 2025 and launched the Inventor Portal to make the disclosure process faster and easier for USF faculty, staff and students.
License/ Options Agreements
91³Ô¹ÏÍø executed 109 license and option agreements in FY 2025.
Startup Companies
91³Ô¹ÏÍø had 13 new startup companies in FY 2025, ranking USF in the top 15 percent nationally for facilitating University startups.
